Thanksgiving Day
Happy Thanksgiving Day! The decorating is done , the table set and the turkey is in the oven. I have a house full of  company about to arrive so I don't have much time to blog today. What a perfect weekend weather wise for families to travel and get together. We must be so thankful to live in Canada and enjoy all the blessings we are given.

The large columnar maple, that grows outside my bedroom window, is absolutely beautiful at this time of year. I know by next week, when the large leathery leaves start to fall, I won't be quite so happy with it. They are the hardest maple leaves to rake and they take forever to break down. Oh well, I will enjoy their beauty while they lasts.

Eugene snapped this picture of this blue heron just a few yards from the house, I think he was trying to hide among the colored leaves. Below the squirrels are having a great time, they are gathering the acorns from the trees all around neighbourhood getting ready for winter.

Barb has gathered all her leaves around too and placed them on her fall quilt titled" Fall is in the Air". This quilt is 64" x 80" and was quilted in an allover pattern called "Leaves" at 8". The variegated King Tut thread looks great on this quilt. The oak leaves and acorns really show up on this quilt. Happy Thanksgiving and now Barb has another project complete.
