Snow is on its way, in fact, It's here!!!!!!!!!!!!
Monday, November 25, 2013
The first signs of winter are here, we had snow overnight Friday night, and again Sunday. The grandchildren were very excited to see the first snow. I know the thoughts of snowmen were in their heads but I think they are going to need more snow than we got.
Today's quilt is all about snowmen. This quilt is a soft, flannel quilt and is cute as a button. It is 56" x 76" and quilted in the pattern called "Drifting Snowflakes" at 8". There are cups of hot chocolate or cocoa on this quilt and lots of snowmen. Very cuddly indeed. Nice job Roselyn!

Happy 1st Anniversary
Thursday, November 21, 2013
Thursday, November 21st. This picture of a member of the Blues Brothers says it all. Wow! It is hard to believe that it has been a year since I started blogging. I thought that today I would post a few of the quilts that I have featured over this past year. We cannot post them all on a single day and I have just picked a few random ones. If you are interested in seeing them, they are still available on my blog, just look under the old posts. Thank you for following me and supplying me with beautiful quilts to quilt and also allowing me to blog them. It has been an enjoyable year and fun to watch the number of viewers grow. I'll be back on Monday with the start of our Christmas projects. Please join me them. Happy quilting! Gwenda

A Quilt as Blue as the Ocean
Monday, November 18, 2013
Waves, Waves, Waves, The waves roll with a deep steel, blue color. The swimmers are all gone now for the season but the waves keep crashing in. There is such movement in the water and it is always fascinating to watch its progress. I can't help but look at these water pictures and think of the great blue colors when I see today's quilt. Today's quilt is a beautiful quilt called "Ocean Wave" by Carol. This quilt is 99" x 100" inches and has a pattern quilted on it called "Hummingbirds". This is a lovely big quilt and the blues are as deep as the ocean. You will notice the back of the quilt is a lovely "toille" print that tells a story all by itself of rural life from many years ago. Great job Carol, we love seeing your beautiful quilts when they are finished.
